2011 cricket World Cup now ‘inconceivable’ in sub-continent: ParoreWellington, Mar. 7 : FormerNew Zealand wicketkeeper, Adam Parore has strongly recommended that the 2011cricket World Cup should be moved out from sub-continent amidst the precarious security condition in the region.

Parore, in his column in The New Zealand Herald, said that the terror attack on the Sri Lankan cricketers in Lahore has proved that the region is not safe for foreign teams.

He said that the mega cricketing event should be shifted to Dubai, and termed the idea of playing in the subcontinent as `inconceivable'.

Parore not only considered the four nations as unsafe for the World Cup, but he said that India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh were dangerous hosts as cricket tour venues in general.

According to him, the situation in India was as disturbing as it is in Pakistan.

"India, the powerful centre of world cricket, is in the same boat as Pakistan in my opinion. I don''''t believe that cricket tours can continue to take place in these countries until terrorism is stamped out," Parore said.

Parore also expressed fears that Pakistan might never get to host international teams following the attack on the Lankans.

Commenting on the Indian Premier League (IPL), he said that the Twenty-20 extravaganza's future also hangs in uncertainty as top cricketers of the world will be skeptical to play in India. (ANI)
